MEET CHRIS

NEW LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Christopher F. Young ran for Congress Sept. 13th, 2016 and received 33% of the vote!

Christopher Young ran for the U.S. Senate in 2000, 2006 and 2008, for a Representative seat in Congress in 2012 and for Mayor of Providence 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014.

In 2006 Chris Young recieved 26% of the Vote for Mayor of Providence.

Chris Young also ran against Paul Moura in 2004 as a Democratic candidate for the House of Representatives District 2, Fox Point, getting close to 28% of the vote with almost no media coverage and taking no money in campaign contributions.

Chris worked to create New School Safety

Legislation, submitted by Victor Moffitt, RI House bills - 5232 and 5259 - to stop schools in Rhode Island from being built on toxic sites and to force indoor air quality checks in schools to stop air born pathogens.

Chris Young is an advocate for the poor and also fasted for 28 days to make Rhode Islanders more aware of the fact that 28% of RI children go to bed hungry. Chris has and will continue to fight for affordable housing in Providence.

The 2006 Providence Mayoral election against Cicilline was filled with numerous counts of election fraud, including thousands of votes found without the applications to vote that are required to accompany the ballot to vote.

Chris came very close to winning the 2006 election by getting 26% of the vote in that election.

Chris may have won the 2006 election if issues of election fraud had been addressed by the courts, the legislature or the State Board of Elections.

In addition, Young had only four articles written on him out of a possible 4,000 written on his opponents in the 2006 election - this was a intentional media black out.  This draws attention onto the free press in Rhode Island and how it is not free from external influences that decide who is covered in elections in Rhode Island.

Christopher was born and grew up on Daboll Street in South Providence, Rhode Island. He lived in extreme poverty.  Chris lost his father at the young age of six and his mother at the age of twelve. Chris' father was a veteran in forces that served the highest casualty rate in World War II.

Chris attended Saint Michael's and later Bishop ï»¿McVinney as an orphan. Chris was later accepted into Classical High school and graduated in 1986.

Chris's Uncle, Joseph Young, took care of Chris's brothers, his sister, and Chris after he was orphaned. Joseph Young was an educator in Rhode Island, the Dean of Admissions at Harvard University and later worked directly under the Secretary of Education in Washington, D.C.

Chris has stated that his uncle, "instilled in me, as my mentor, the understanding of how necessary is an education."

Chris put himself through school as an orphan and attended Northeastern University, the University of Rhode Island and graduated college from Boston University with an Electrical Engineering degree.

Chris was a Film Maker, founder of Narragansett Solar, Wind and Alternative Energy (NSWAE), Chris was the national director of the National Civil Rights Coalition (NCRC) and Chris has been an Electrical Engineer.
